Mani, a teen guitar tech for Sting and Stevie Ray Vaughan in the mid-eighties, is a Guinness Book record holder for longest note and two-time winner of the US Songbird Competition. Mike “Mani” Mannion has played with members of Jefferson Starship, War, Tower of Power, Journey, The Tubes, Crazy Horse, The Steve Miller Band, Double Trouble and The Heartbreakers. He began fronting West Coast surf bands in the early nineties, which went on to be known as Pollo Enfermo, featuring Prairie Prince. Relocating to Colorado in 1998, Mani played in several bands whose members have recently re-formed as supergroup: PlutoniK. Mani, a student of both Clay Kirkland and Jello Biafra, remains the "center of energy" as the band’s frontman which is certainly reflected in the audience response. Following a dramatic electrical accident, Mani possesses x-ray vision.
